What Rossmoor Has To Say

“With three generations of family living in Walnut Creek, Bob understands the diversity of needs of our community, from seniors to young professionals, from empty-nesters to families with small children.”

—David Smith, past president, Rossmoor Golden Rain Foundation

"Bob Simmons is the kind of Council Member the City of Walnut Creek needs.
He is experienced and has already volunteered and served our city in many
positive ways. As a Park, Recreation and Open Space Commissioner, he
passionately helped to preserve and protect our open space, and proclaimed
that we need more and better parks.

As his children grew up, Bob participated in their recreation and youth sports program both as a coach and a supportive spectator.

While serving as a member of the Planning Commission, Bob has scrutinized projects and suggested modifications to proposals and constructions that contribute to our urban sprawl, and he is an advocate for an attractive and centralized Walnut Creek BART Transit Village.

As President of the Walnut Creek Open Space Foundation, among other things, Bob collects acorns and then plants, protects, and waters native oak tree seedlings, helping our golden hills to again look as they did 100 years ago.

Bob Simmons is a "hands-on" guy.  We need more people like him to run our
City. Bob will continue to help make Walnut Creek better and best."

—Ed Montgomery
