INSTRUCTIONS TO SENDER

• Use the sample email below to create an email for your friends. You can modify the email to reflect your own personal experience with Bob.

• Compose the email in your email program.

• Put your own email address in the TO box and your friends’ email addresses in the BCC box. By using the BCC box, you can keep people from responding to the entire group, which is aggravating and potentially risky to those receiving your email.

• Limit the number of friends to 25 in each group you send to, so that an anti-spam program does not block your email. In other words, if you have 75 friends, divide the group into three separate emails of 25 people each.

• Encourage your friends to send the email on to others.

SAMPLE EMAIL

SUBJECT: Please Elect Bob Simmons for WC City Council

Dear friends,

On Nov. 4, we will be voting for three City Council members. Please join us and vote for Bob Simmons for Walnut Creek City Council.

Bob has been actively involved in our community for more than 20 years. He is a champion of our open space, serving as President of the Walnut Creek Open Space Foundation. Bob led the five-year effort to build the Castle Rock Youth Sports Park, and he has served on both the Park & Recreation and Planning Commissions.

Bob has been endorsed by more than 350 community members, including Mayor Gwen Regalia and former Mayor Kathy Hicks.
